This is a modern hotel on the outskirts of Puno overlooking Lake Titicaca. The rooms are quite simple but comfortable and clean. The hotel offers you oxygen if you require it due to the high altitude of Lake Titicaca. This is a good place to relax, take in the scenery, go on lake excursions and acclimatise before heading higher into the Andes. A good mid-range option in the Lake Titicaca area if you don’t mind being on the outskirts of Puno.

The biggest plus point of the Sonesta del Inca is the lovely views across the lake. The hotel comprises 62 rooms, a restaurant and bar, all of which enjoy a lake view. The rooms themselves have heat control, safety deposit boxes and cable TV, to ensure a comfortable stay.

This is a good choice for the more economically minded traveller. The 62 Standard Rooms in Sonesta Posada del Inca all have beautiful panoramic views either of Lake Titicaca (the world’s highest navigable lake) or of the surrounding mountains. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and are available either as twins (56 rooms) or as triple rooms with three beds (6 rooms).

All rooms are equipped with the expected modern facilities. 22 of the Standard rooms are interconnecting and can be booked on special request for group or large family use.
