OUR FAVOURITE THINGS TO DO IN BOGOTA

CITY TOUR

This half day tour takes in the historical centre of Bogota, known as La Candelaria. The ancient quarter is formed by old “casonas” or grand houses of Spanish influence with iron windows, thick wooden doors, balconies and internal patios that hide beautiful gardens

GASTRONOMY TOUR

On this experience, you will have an immersion in different family businesses that with their gastronomy have made history in the centre of Bogota. While walking around the hills of La Candelaria and La Macarena neighbourhoods, you will have a local – a charismatic host – who will take you on a journey of local flavours through 5 gastronomic stops.

LOCAL MARKETS

Leave in the morning in the company of your guide and head to La Plaza de Mercado Paloquemao, one of the biggest and most recognized local markets in Bogota, where all traditional produce and ingredients of Colombian cuisine can be found. Try some of the exotic fruits, local doughs, and Colombian cheese

GRAFFITI BIKE TOUR

Enjoy a graffiti bike tour in the historic centre known as La Candelaria. This antiquated neighbourhood has great architectural and cultural heritage and is made up of old “Stately homes” or large Spanish colonial buildings with iron windows, thick and sturdy wooden doors, balconies and internal patios with beautiful yet hidden gardens

TEJO IN BOGOTA

Tejo is a traditional sport, created by the Chibcha people from pre-Hispanic central-western Colombia. It is played by throwing a metal disc called a “Tejo,” across an alley to a board covered with clay. In the board there is a triangular folded paper packet called “mechas”, filled with gunpowder-like material that explodes on impact

COFFEE TASTING

The objective of the tasting is to leave behind the traditional ritual of professional tastings and learn to appreciate coffee with the senses of smell and taste in another way. During the tasting, you compare the aromas and flavours in a cup of 3 different varieties of coffee, tasting the ‘crystals’ (coffee jelly) that highlight the acidity of the coffee
