Four seasons Casa Medina

Bogota

Converted into a hotel in 1988 and built in 1945 by Don Santiago Medina, Hotel Four Seasons Casa Medina combines French and Spanish architecture. When built, the architect used pieces of two colonial convents making the hotel a mixture of history and contemporary design. The building was declared a monument of cultural interest by the Colombian Ministry of Culture.

THE STYLE

THE DETAIL

Of the 62 classically designed guest rooms, more than 25% are suites. Featuring beamed ceilings and hand-crafted doors, no two guest rooms or suites are alike. Details such as aged leather and nail-head trim reflect the roots of tradition, yet with a sense of lightness and a contemporary edge. The effect is comfortably residential with the sophisticated polish and modern conveniences expected by today’s Four Seasons guest.

FOUR SEASONS LUXURY
While each room is unique, all feature Four Seasons comfort and convenience – a refrigerated private bar, flat-screen LCD TV, twice-daily housekeeping, plush robes and slippers in luxurious marble bathrooms, thermo-acoustic windows and Nespresso coffee makers for fresh Colombian coffee.

SUITE LIFE
Their suites begin with spacious, 55-square-metre (592-square-feet) rooms with two living areas, some with the added luxury of a fireplace or balcony. All suites are comfortably furnished for work or entertaining.

PENTHOUSE SUITE
The favoured choice of visiting heads of state, royalty and rock stars is our fifth-floor Penthouse Suite, measuring 108 square metres (1,162.5 square feet). Featuring a living room with a fireplace, dining room area, full-size kitchen and two marble bathrooms, the Penthouse Suite is ideal for entertaining.

The hotel also offers restaurant service at “Castanyoles Raciones y Tapas” the restaurant and bar is inspired by the traditions of the Spanish kitchen. The bar is a vibrant, energetic place and the cocktail program is based on a modern interpretation of the classics, house-made gin and tonics, and refreshing sangrias.
