Wildlife In Belize
Belize now has more national parks than Costa Rica and in their push for a protected country they have managed to save some of the most endangered areas of forest in Central America. This has led to an increase in numbers of both jaguar and Pumas as well as some of the smaller cats making this a wildlife destination like no other.
These larger mammals are a handsome addition to an already exotic location where Mayan ruins can be combined with a wildlife experience. Travelling by river passing Mennonite settlements and narrow creaks, you can’t help to be impressed. What Belize really specialises in, is birds, it is a place where the sheer variety and vibrant colours will outstand you.
