The following are the recommended vaccinations for Mexico.
 
Within the Yucatan Peninsula there is no Malaria and no Yellow fever is required to enter the country.

We do recommend that you consult your doctor about other recommended injections.  Normally the advice is that Typhoid and Hepatitis A injections should be taken.  Hepatitis A is recommended for all travellers over one year of age. It should be given at least two weeks (preferably four weeks or more) before departure. A booster should be given 6-12 months later to confer long-term immunity.

Most importantly their Elite policy covers you for up to £5,000 per person for abandonment which is the cover which kicks in in the event of snow / strikes, and other issues that may prevent you from taking your holiday as planned
 
From the States we recommend AIG.
 
Currency
 
The Mexican currency is the Mexican Peso and is divided into 100 centavos.  We would recommend that you take US dollars cash or travellers cheques and change this into Mexican Pesos, on arrival at a bank or cambio in any major city - – your guide will tell you the best place on arrival. You may also use your credit card to withdraw cash from a cash point machine in any major city.   Show less
