Tambo del Inka

The Sacred Valley

The Tambo del Inka is a luxury hotel in the sacred valley.  Only a few years ago it was difficult to find anywhere of any decent standard in the region, now there are a few to choose from.  The Tambo del Inka is very much opulent luxury personified, with dashing colours, spacious social areas and attentive service this is one of the best places to stay in the area.  Rooms are varied depending on type but all are superb and spacious with ever amenity imaginable, whilst the communal areas and lavish and extremely comfortable. A big plus is being able to walk off the hotel into town to have dinner at a variety of restaurants in the area.

THE DETAIL

Located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas and overlooking the Urubamba River the Tambo del Inka is a superb hotel that even has a private train station for trains to Machu Picchu!

The interior decor has warm earthy feel to it with stone walls, wooden floors and Inca textiles throughout, whilst the stone fireplaces are also a great place to sit around at the end of a day.  The massive grounds are perfect for walking around and are full of colour and diverse Andean flora.

Tambo del Inca has endless facilities which include; two heated swimming pools, a good restaurant, sauna, fitness area and a comprehensive spa.  The Spa is a great place to unwind and relax and you can choose from a stunning array of pampering massages and exclusive therapeutic treatments featuring ancestral Incan ingredients, all surrounded by sweeping views of the Andes.

All of Tambo del Inka’s 128 rooms and suites are very comfortable and similar in style. There are plenty of little touches that make the difference and also maximise the luxurious comfort of any stay. The rooms have been decorated with Inca motifs, floor to ceiling windows and a separate area with a sofa and a work area. All rooms have a small sitting area in them and the rooms on the ground floor also have an outdoor patio with comfortable seating.

The Tambo del Inka has been developed to a high ‘green’ standard. As part of its commitment to environmentally sustainable development, the resort created its own water treatment plant to filter water throughout the resort and irrigate its grounds as well as installing indoor climate monitoring and lighting control systems in an effort to be more energy efficient.
