OUR FAVOURITE THINGS TO DO IN MARAU PENINSULA

NATURAL POOLS

Elected one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, it has a natural pool, formed by a live coral reef, approximately 20,000 square meters and is a real untouched submarine nursery.

QUAD BIKES

Tours made by 4X4 vehicles and quad bikes with a specialised bilingual guide. The drive comprises the visit to Taipus de Fora natural pools and Morro do Farol, Lagoa Azul, Trilha das Bromélias Gigantes, Lagoa do Cassange, Trilha dos Coqueirais and Morro do Celular attractions

TREMEMBE FALLS

Leaving from the Jobel Port you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful colours of the mangroves, as the boat goes up two rivers (Rio do Céu and Rio de Maraú), to the enchanting waterfall of Tremembe. This is the perfect place to bath in refreshing waters

JEEP TOUR

Taking a 4WD jeep you will visit the peninsula, all the way to Ponta do Mutá. From there, you will take a short walk to the beach of Barra Grande, a picturesque village by the ocean. On the way back, we will take a dirt road and visit Taipus de Fora, with its wonderful natural pools – the perfect place to enjoy a bath in the crystal clear waters

BELA VISTA

Bela Vista Hill has one of the most amazing panoramic views of the Maraú Peninsula. Leaving Cassange’s beach, you will walk up to the Cassange Lagoon, from where we are able to see the hill. You will cross the lagoon on canoes and then hike up through patches of Atlantic Forest to reach the top of the Hill and enjoy the wonderful views of the ocean, the lagoon, and the peninsula.

CAMAMU BAY

Leaving Jobel’s port by motor-boat, you cruise the Camamu bay. From a distance we see the fisherman villages such as Sampinho and Taipus de Dentro, with their small hidden beaches and the island of Pedra Furada, a gorgeous island with a rock arch sculpted by nature and filled with palm trees and native vegetation
