The Ibera Natural Reserve, which in Guarani means ‘brilliant waters’, is located in the far northeast of Argentina and is a wetland reserve with an abundance of wildlife. The Ibera marsh is the second largest wetland areas in the world (the largest being the Pantanal in Brazil) with a surface area the size of a small country (equivalent to the size of Wales) and is the home of a significant variety of flora & fauna.

BIRDING

The Ibera wetlands is home to over 340 different species of bird life, making it one of the best places in Latin America to go bird watching

HORSE RIDING

By taking an excursion on horse back you increase your chances of seeing wildlife, as long as you keep quiet! Horse riding here allows you to also get off the beaten path a little.

BOAT TRIPS

One the the most relaxing ways to see the Ibera Wetlands is by boat. Birds fly by whilst mammals come to the waters edge to drink, so you often get the best photos too.
