A note about pricing

Peru and the Galapagos islands are two of the most popular areas in South America.  This itinerary takes in the highlights of Peru with a week in the Galapagos.

As a guideline, the itinerary outlined below would cost approximately £5,345 per person based on two people travelling and includes all activities on a private basis unless stated, private transfers, internal flights and taxes in Peru and Ecuador, entrance fees throughout – including the Galapagos Islands, accommodation and taxes and meals where mentioned.

In addition, the cost of the international flight from Peru to Ecuador will be approximately is £500 per person.

Please note that the itinerary does not include any international flights

Day 1 Fly to Lima.  Met on arrival by our representative and transfer to the Jose Antonio Hotel in Lima for the night on a b&b basis.

Day 2 Transfer to airport for a short (45mins) flight to Juliaca.  Met and transfer to Puno on the edge of Lake Titicaca, stopping en-route to visit the Chullpas (funeral towers) at Sillustani.  2 nights in the Sonesta del Inca hotel on a b&b basis.

Day 3 Full day excursion by boat on Lake Titicaca including visits to the Uros Islands and Taquile Island.
Day 4 Transfer to the train station for the train to Cuzco (first class).  Departs 08.30 arriving Cuzco 18.00.  Met on arrival and transfer to the Casa Andina Private collection hotel for 2 nights in a standard room on a b&b basis.

Day 5 A day free for personal exploration.  We would suggest visiting the outlying sites of Tambomachay, Quenko and Sacsaywaman.
Day 6-7 Early morning train (vistadome) to Machu Picchu, guided visit of site, overnight in the Mapi Inn.  Following morning watch the sunrise over the site, optional climb of Huayna Picchu mountain giving superb views from above of the site.  Met by your guide for the late afternoon train to Cuzco. Day 8 Met and transfer to the International terminal for your flight to Quito via Lima.  Met on arrival and transfer to the cafe Cultura hotel for the night in a suite on a b&b basis.

Day 9 Fly from Quito to the Galapagos.  PM arrive Galapagos Islands and transfer to the Eric, Flamingo or Letty for an 8D/7N cruise in an Iguana cabin on a full board basis.

Day 10-15 In the Galapagos islands
Day 16 Disembark boat for your flight to Guayaquil, where you will connect with your return international flight
