A note about pricing

This itinerary takes you across the whole country and as such it involves a lot of flying.  It covers the main areas of interest and we have suggested a range of accommodation throughout.

As a guideline, the itinerary outlined below would cost approximately £5,250 per person based on two people travelling and includes all activities on a private basis, private transfers, internal flights to and from Morro de Sao Paulo, entrance fees, accommodation and taxes and meals where mentioned.

In addition, the cost of the internal flights will be approximately is £1,300 per person.

Day 1 Fly to Rio de Janeiro. Met on arrival and transferred to the Arena hotel for 3 nights in a deluxe room with an ocean view on a b&b basis.

Day 2-3 2 days free for personal exploration.  We would suggest visiting Corcovado Mountain, which has the statue of Christ the Redeemer perched on the top, followed by a visit to the famous Sugarloaf mountain to watch the sun set over Rio the mountain is only accessible by cable car.
Day 4 Met and transferred to the airport for your internal flight to Iguazu, depart on JJ 3153 at 10:20 arrives 12:35.  Met on arrival and transfer to the Das Cataratas Hotel for 2 nights in a superior room on a b&b basis.  The remainder of the afternoon can be spent walking around the Brazilian falls at your leisure

Day 5 Met and transferred to the Argentinean side of the falls where there are walks at varying levels including a train ride to the devils throat.  In the afternoon you return to the Brazilian side for your boat safari, taking a speedboat ride up the Iguazu River for views of the falls from below.  This can be followed by an optional helicopter ride over the falls for views from above – payable locally.
Day 6 Met in the early morning and transferred to the airport for your flight to Cuiaba, via Sao Paulo, depart on JJ 3556 at 06:00 arrive 07:40, depart Sao Paulo on JJ 3804 at 09:00 arrive 11:15.  Met on arrival and transferred to the Caiman Lodge for 4 nights on a full board basis including all activities.

Day 7-9 3 full days of activities supplied by the lodge.  The northern Pantanal is renowned for its sightings of giant otter as well as a range of other mammals and birds.  Activities are either by boat, horse, vehicle or on foot.
Day 10 Met and transfer to the airport for your flight to Manaus via Brasilia.  Depart on JJ 3804 at 11:50 arrive 14:20, depart on JJ 3542 at 20:360 arrive 22:36.  Met on arrival and transferred to the tropical hotel for THE night in a superior room on a b&b basis.

Day 11 Met and transferred to the Anavilhanas lodge located 100 KM from Manaus.  The lodge is situated in the Anavilhanas ecological reserve which contains about 400 islands extending for over 90 km and encompasses a wide variety of ecosystems.  Transfer is by land and speedboat, taking approximately 3 hours.  Your 3 night package staying in a room with a jungle view includes all excursions and is on a full board basis.

Day 12-13 Over the next two days here you will do a variety of jungle walks, caiman spotting at night, piranha fishing and visit a local Amazon settlement.
Day 14 Met and transferred to the airport for your flight to Salvador, depart on JJ 3891 at 15:00 arrive 00:20.  Met on arrival and transfer to the Casa Do Amarelindo hotel for 2 nights in a superior room on a b&b basis.

Day 15 In Salvador.  One of Brazil’s most historic cities with a strong African Influence.  The city centre is a mix of old, modern, rich and poor and is a fascinating place to explore.  We would suggest a city tour today to give you some orientation of the city.
Day 16 Met and transferred to the airport for your flight to Morro de Sao Paulo, depart 08:30 arrive 08:50.  Met on arrival and transferred to the Anima hotel for 4 nights in a superior room on a b&b basis.

Day 17-19 In Morro de Sao Paulo, free for personal exploration.  The island has no cars, tractors and wheelbarrows are the only form of transportation!  The island has a variety of activities available; from horse riding, exploring the small villages and colonial architecture or simply relaxing on one if the islands beaches.
Day 20 Met and transferred to the airport for your internal flight to Salvador, depart 17:00 arrive 17:20, where you will connect with your flight to Sao Paulo, depart on JJ 3603 at 19:20 arrive 21:55, where you will connect with your return international flight.
