La Casona de la Ronda

The La Casona de la Ronda is a great boutique hotel located on one of Quito’s oldest streets in the colonial quarter of the city. It sits on a pedestrian-only street, so you have walk the final few metres to the hotel, but this also means it is quiet as there is no passing traffic. The ‘mirador’ viewpoint room, accessed at the top of the hotel by a spiral staircase gives you an amazing view of El Panecillo and the surrounding neighborhood.

Set in a colonial style house built in 1738, it is a gorgeous old colonial home that has been renovated with very creative touches making it cosy yet updated, traditional and functional hotel

This charming hotel has 22 rooms – single, double and Jr. suites. Some are interconnecting rooms so ideal for families and all come with the usual features and services; private bath with rain shower and hand shower, hairdryers, phone, Cable TV and LCD and Safety box and WIFI

The rooms have outward windows with nature light which are soundproof and have a view to La Ronda street or to internal courtyards. All the furniture is locally produced and the combination of local wooden floors, warm hues, lovely natural light and beautifully hand-carved furniture make this is an ideal base from which to explore
