This is a simple yet charming lodge in the northern Pantanal. It is one of the more budget conscious lodges in these parts, but still contains a lot of the farming conditions.  There is an abundance of wildlife in the north, especially giant otters and the fact that the lodge can be accessed all year round, makes it a very good place to stay and see wildlife.

The Araras Eco Lodge is located 132 km (82 mi) southwest of Cuiabá and is reachable year round. Here you have the opportunity to participate in first-class bird watching, trekking in pristine forests, canoeing, and horseback riding. There are also guided photo-safaris, sunrise and sunset hikes, and stunning views from tree-top lookout points.

All activities are conducted with the assistance of expert bilingual naturalist guides. The lodge is built in regional rustic style and includes a swimming pool and a large veranda with hammocks.

The lodge has 19 rooms all featuring air conditioning, ceiling fan, screened windows, and a private bathroom with hot water. There are also special interest tours for birdwatchers, photographers, botanists, and those interested in adventure activities such as horseback riding and camping (available upon request).
