The lodge is situated on the edge of a hill with a river running below, at the edge of which is a surprisingly white sandy beach ideal for swimming from as well as watching the numerous birds fly overhead, or alternatively become a ‘beach bum’ in the jungle!  The lodge offers a range of activities from canoes to medicinal trails, as well as all the tours that can be done in the region.

The lodge has 14 rooms; La Casita is a two story bungalow and each floor has a king size bed, sofa, bath, and a wrap around porch.  The bungalows are private stand alone cabanas, each with king size beds, private porch with hammock, living room area and a sofa.  The jungle lodge rooms are spacious, with 2 queen size beds, screened porches and a hammock – all of the above rooms have en-suite facilities and ceiling fans.

For us, the best part of this lodge is the sandy beach next to the river and the canoeing up the river during sunset.
