Portofino

Guests arrive by speed boat – the main transport for many island residents. As you step out onto the wooden pier and approach Portofino, you are made to feel instantly at home – greeted with a Belizean smile and a delicious, fresh berry cocktail.
 
There are 7 different types of room ranging from the honeymoon suite to standard beach cabanas. All rooms have an ocean view with air-con and private balconies with hammocks. The rooms have a casual yet chic ambience with thatched high ceilings, bamboo beds, white linens and polished wooden floors. In the main house there is a restaurant overlooking the Caribbean – which has a European influenced menu, with fresh sea-food always a key feature. Sandra and Yan are happy to arrange a private dining experience at the end of the pier on request.
 
There is a large and beautiful pool set right on the sands and a dive shop on site which can organise all your water sports. The reef is right on your door stop here and kayaks are complimentary.
