El Molino de Cachi is an authentic Spanish colonial grain mill which has been converted into a 5 bed guest house. It is located at the foot of the multi-coloured Nevado de Cachi and is 4 km from Cachi, this guest house is a very good rustic, warm and comfortable option in this area.

THE DETAIL

This is a very rustic option outside of Cachi, but a great place to get an understanding of the history of the region. The five rooms are simply decorated but are spacious and well appointed. Their cosy living room has captivating views of the ravine and is a great place to relax.

The one down side is that you all dine together in dining room so hopefully you have some interesting guests. They have a small vineyard around the property which allows you to sample their local wines from their cellar. There is also a swimming pool with great views over the surround vineyards and distant mountains.

The picturesque Andean villages of Cachi, Seclantás and Molinos with their lovely churches, colonial architecture and local arts and crafts are all near enough to explore.
