Viceroy Riviera Maya
Each of the bungalows has a private plunge pool and large patio area with a hammock and soft cushioned armchairs. Inside, the four poster beds are all king size and are adorned with mosquito netting, whilst the bathrooms each have an indoor and outdoor shower.
The difference between the luxury and royal rooms are the small details. The royal rooms have larger flat screen televisions, iPod docking stations (if you forget yours they will provide you with one) and gifts on arrival to name but a few of the smaller details. Their newer rooms (11 in total) are all with ocean views. The Ocean view villas are set back from the beach whilst the Oceanfront villas are set in front of the beach with the most amazing views. the only minus point is the lack of privacy in these rooms.
The large pool is surrounded with chairs and four poster sun loungers, whilst the beach area has sun loungers with a sufficient amount of tailor made palm leaf shade coverings. The restaurant is by the beach during the day and then moved around the pool area at night. The food is excellent and serves a mixture of classical Mexican cuisine and European plates.
The spa is one of the most comprehensive along the coast and contains; steam rooms, spring water baths, fertility centre, Mayan ritual aromatherapy, yoga and every type of massage imaginable.
