THE DETAIL

The suites are large with colourful Chiapas-style bed covers and Maya wall hangings. There are ceiling fans and air conditioning and a refrigerator stocked with water to keep you refreshed. The bathrooms are ample and come complete with Botanicus and Sak Po amenities that are made locally.

The swimming pool, with waterfall feature, is reminiscent of the waterfalls found around the site of Palenque and offer a tranquil place to cool off from the heat and enjoy the sounds of nature that echo all around. There is also a jacuzzi to enjoy as the night draws in.

Head to the restaurant to try a number of authentic Maya dishes, such as rabbit in chirimol sauce or freshwater fish cooked in banana leaves. The restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, also offers some international and Italian options, in an intimate and romantic setting.
