The Eco-Chic Bungalows at Gitana del Mar are the ideal place to relax. Each bungalow is designed with the palm roof, so fits in with the surrounding area. Bungalows are simple, though the restaurant is a lovely affair. A good place to get away from it all.

Just 15 minutes from the entrance of the Tayrona National park and one hour drive from historical downtown centre of Santa Marta this is a good alternative to the Ecohabs.

Their 4 private Bungalow each have one queen bed and one twin bed. The 2 Standard Bungalows each have 3 single beds. Rooms are equipped with full private bathrooms, outdoor showers, fans, down pillows and plush sheets and towels. Please note there is no air conditioning here and still no hot water.

The restaurant works closely with the community fishermen, so the food is absolutely fresh; the menu combines Colombian, Latin and Asian dishes. There is also a bar and a spa where you can experience ocean views from the massage rancho constructed of all natural wood and palm materials.
