Marau Peninsula
The Marau Peninsula is a natural paradise situated between Itacare and Morro do Sao Paulo. This is a remote place with endless windswept beaches, rock pools ideal for swimming in and a place to get away from it all.
The Marau Peninsula is situated in between the Atlantic on the east and an inland bay to the west which contains numerous smaller islands. With only dirt roads on the peninsula access is by plane from Morro de São Paulo or Salvador. At the same time, there is plenty to do, with the lagoon around the back dotted with secluded beaches with small beach bars and hidden waterfalls. It is also a recommendable place for diving, fishing and trekking.
This is one of the most beautiful regions in the country and also contains one of the best beach hotels in the country at Kiaroa THINGS TO SEE AND DO
