A note about pricing

This is a purposely designed itinerary allowing you to acclimatise gradually, whilst seeing the best of the Inca world, the highlight of which is Machu Picchu at the end of your holiday.

As a guideline, the itinerary outlined below would cost approximately £3,180 per person based on two people travelling and includes all activities on a private basis unless stated, private transfers, internal flights and taxes in Peru, entrance fees, accommodation and taxes and meals where mentioned.

Day 1 Fly Lima.  Met on arrival by our representative and transfer to the Jose Antonio Hotel in Lima for the night on a b&b basis.

Day 2 Transfer to airport for the internal flight to Arequipa, flight time 90 mins.  Met on arrival and transfer to the Sonesta hotel for the night in a standard room on a b&b basis.  Afternoon free for personal exploration.

Day 3-4 After breakfast drive to the Colca Canyon (shared basis), superb Andean scenery en-route as you pass under the snow capped Ampato Volcano (6288m) and cross the Viscachani pass (4800m).  Stop in Chivay for a dip in the hot springs and visit the Andean towns of Yanque and Achoma.  Overnight in the Colca lodge-3 star, full board.  An early start the following morning gives you views across the Canyon and the chance of spotting the Andean Condor on the early morning thermals.  After several small walks into the canyon return to the Posada del Puente hotel in Arequipa on a b&b basis arriving early evening.

Day 5 Transfer to airport for a short (45mins) flight to Juliaca.  Met and transfer to Puno on the edge of Lake Titicaca, stopping en-route to visit the Chullpas (funeral towers) at Sillustani.  2 nights in the Casa Andina classic hotel in a tradicional room b&b basis.

Day 6 Met for your full day excursion (shared basis) by boat on Lake Titicaca including visits to the Uros Islands and Taquile Island.
Day 7 Transfer to the train station for the train to Cuzco (first class).  Departs 08.30 arriving Cuzco 18.00.  Met on arrival and transfer to the Casa Andina San Blas hotel for the night on a b&b basis.

Day 8-10 5D/4N Inca trail on a private basis, full board including porters
Day 11-12 Arrive at Machu Picchu in the early afternoon.  PM free to wander around the site.  Overnight at the El Mapi in Aguas Calientes.  Following morning watch the sunrise over the site, guided visit around the ruins followed by an optional climb of Huayna Picchu mountain giving superb views of the site from above.  Late afternoon train to Cuzco where you will be met and transferred to the Casa Andina San Blas hotel for 3 nights in a tradicional room on a b&b basis.

Day 13-14 2 days free for personal exploration.
Day 15 Met and transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima, where you will connect with your return international flight.
