A note about pricing

A short journey taking in the highlights of Costa Rica, which includes the Tortuguero national park, Monteverde and some time on the coast at the end.

As a guideline, the itinerary outlined below would cost approximately £1,844 per person based on two people travelling and includes all activities on a private basis unless stated, private transfers, internal flights in Costa Rica, entrance fees, accommodation and taxes and meals where mentioned.

Please note that the itinerary does not include any international flights

Day 1 Fly to San Jose.  Met on arrival and transferred to the Grano de Oro hotel for the night in a double standard room on a b&b basis.

Day 2 Met at 06:00 in the morning and transferred by bus and boat – shared transfer, into Tortuguero National Park for 2 nights in the Aninga lodge in a standard room on a full board basis including all activities.

Day 3 A full day in the Tortuguero National Park.  There is an included programme of guided excursions, which include; boat trips along the inland waterways, short walks on trails, watching turtle nesting and hatching on the beaches (seasonal), the village of Tortuguero and the turtle museum.
Day 4 Met and transferred to the airport for your internal flight to San Jose, depart on Nature Air 211 at 07:00 arrive 07:30.  Met on arrival and transferred to Monteverde and the Fonda Vela Lodge for 2 nights in a junior suite on a b&b basis.  Met in the afternoon for your guided walk along the trails of the Monteverde Cloudforest reserve, where you have the possibility of seeing the resplendent quetzal!

Day 5 In Monteverde Cloudforest Reserve.  Met in the late morning for your zip-lining through the forest canopy along with the walkways along the hanging bridges.
Day 6 Met and transferred to Tamarindo on the Nosara Peninsula and the Cala Luna hotel for 3 nights in a standard room on a b&b basis.

Day 7-8 On the Nicoya Peninsula, free for personal exploration.
Day 9 Met and transferred to the airport for your internal flight to San Jose, depart on Sansa 1023 at 09:30 arrive 10:27.  Met on arrival and transferred to the international terminal for your return international flight.
