Rosario Hotel: Our View

This quaint little colonial hotel has a great location close to the historical quarter of the city.  With only 28 rooms it is a great size and the staff pay just the right attention to you.  The rooms are fairly small but large enough for a couple of nights, which is what the city deserves.

Rosario Hotel: The Detail

The original house where now Hotel Rosario is located was built in 1928.  It's first name was Residencial Rosario. There are 41 rooms in the colonial Hotel Rosario. The decor features many motifs from the Aymara and Quechua cultures.

One block of rooms is in the restored area of the original colonial building. The other blocks are new but follow the design and decoration of the colonial section. The last renovation was done in 2010. All of the rooms contain either twin or double beds, Wi-Fi, Cable TV, Safety deposit box within the room and all with private bathroom with hot showers.

With very few decent hotel options in the city, this is the only one we would recommend. Rooms can be a little dark, but the service of the staff is great

The Luna Salada is one of the most interesting hotels in the whole of Bolivia, if not South America.  Built entirely of salt blocks, the hotel sits on a small hill overlooking the Uyuni salt flats.
