Cuzco

Picoaga: Our View

The Picoaga Hotel is a reasonably priced hotel just moments away from the Plaza de Armas. The hotel occupies an historic building which used to belong to a Spanish nobleman and it still retains all of the character of the past. The guest rooms which have been recently refurbished are simple and comfortable.  We would recommend booking a room in the front section overlooking the terrace as they have high ceilings and are decorated with colonial-style furniture and floral prints.

Picoaga: The Detail

The Picoaga hotel is divided into two parts: the colonial and modern. They have combined stone arcades and internal patios with water features and murals characteristic of 18th century architecture, along with the comforts of a contemporary-style hotel.

The Colonial rooms are located around the main patio and maintain the original details, such as the high ceilings, wooden beams and large wood doors. Whereas the modern rooms, have been designed with the comfort of the guest in mind focusing on space and modern amenities. All rooms are fully carpeted and feature air conditioning and heating, Wireless Connection, 24-hour room service and recently refurbished bathrooms.

Their sitting area, El Virrey Salón is like travelling back in time and entering into an environment covered by immense painted wall murals, whilst the Los Candiles Bar with its large open fireplace is a great place to watch the sunset.
