Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge: The Detail

A unique property, as the only hotel within walking distance of the ruins, and therefore by location alone by far the best option for visitors to the World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu. This proximity not only allows for ‘ruins view’ rooms, but also night visits, and explorations of the site, long after the crowds have left.

The facilities are simple but comfortable, and guests at the hotel also have the use of the a la carte Tampu restaurant, dining away from the crowds using the Tinkuy buffet restaurant. On what may be your only visit to the famous Inca ‘lost city’ an overnight in the Sanctuary Lodge is ‘a must’!

The 29 standard rooms are comfortable rooms furnished with elegance and style. Most of them have preferential views of the ruins or spectacular mountain peaks. In-room amenities include minibar, TV/VCR, IDD telephone, laundry service and in-room safe. As with all rooms, guests are asked to separate waste into the waste baskets which come ready with divisions for plastic, glass, paper and biodegradable. All toiletries are biodegradable.

The 2 suites are extremely comfortable and have prime views from their outdoor terraces of the ruins, as well as having an indoor sitting area and separate bedroom with king-size bed. In-room amenities include mini bar, TV/VCR, IDD telephone, laundry service and in-room safe. Please note that guests are asked to separate waste into the waste baskets which come ready with divisions for plastic, glass, paper and biodegradable items. All toiletries are biodegradable in keeping with the hotel’s environmental policy
