Las Dunas Hotel: Our View

The Las Dunas hotel is generally used as a lunch stop between Lima and the flight over the Nazca lines or a visit to the Ballestas islands. In our opinion though this is worth a night, as it allows you to unpack immediately on arrival and sit around the pool whilst you wait for your flight to depart over the lines.  Although nothing spectacular, the rooms are fine and service and food is also good

Our Rating

  • Good swimming pool
  • Located next to the dunes, so ideal for exploring
  • Variety of rooms but lacking in character
  • Al fresco dining by the pool

Las Dunas Hotel: The Detail

This is the one of the best mid-range hotels in Ica with 106 rooms, 3 suites and a family chalet. It also has a pool with slides, a golf course, and is a favourite with rich Limeños seeking a weekend away.

It is a nice hotel from which to explore the area, and has simply appointed rooms with all the usual facilities. It is a great place to relax for a few days after a tiring trip around the land of the Incas.
The rooms at Las Dunas Hotel are characterised by large patios, domed ceilings, air conditioning and beautiful views from private terraces.

Standard rooms are comfortably furnished and boast standard facilities including minibar, fan ventilation and cable television. Some rooms have air-conditioning.

The three presidential suites offer, as well as extra space and standard facilities, a Jacuzzi in your room.  The one fully furnished chalet apartment is available for families visiting the Ica area and comes with two bedrooms and separate living room
