Hotel Monasterio which was built in 1592 is located in the heart of the historic city of Cusco, famous for its unique blend of Spanish and Inca cultures as the monastery is built on Inca foundations. The hotel has 126 guest rooms with the majority having views over Cuzco. This is very historic building but the furnishings make it feel very fresh and comfortable with a combination of modern and traditional Spanish colonial styles. This is one of the top places to stay while in Cusco, expect excellent service and great comfort.

Hotel Monasterio: The Detail


The Monasterio hotel is an excellent hotel with its perfect mixture of history, ambience and service which makes it the premier choice in Cusco.  The rooms have the option to be oxygenated allowing a unique way to combat the effects of the higher altitude. Gregorian chants piped through the hotel bring the history flooding back and ensure that each and every visit is a special experience.
 
The Monasterio has 126 rooms, 16 of which are standard rooms located in the farthest corners of the hotel and thus are not used by us.
 
The deluxe rooms which may vary around 30 square metres offers a charming colonial environment of luxury and comfort, queen beds, twin beds, the finest furniture, heating system, minibar, safety box and Cable TV. They are all located around the Main Patio, Patio Azul and around old Inka corridors, 52 rooms have available the most modern system to enrich the room with oxygen, pop up TV, VCR; 26 rooms have terraces and others a view of the city or of the old district of San Blas.
 
The junior suites have an average area of 40 square meters, all junior suites are on 2 levels, the first with a living area (with view out over the downtown Cusco) and the bathroom, and the bedroom on the second level with comfortable queen beds, heating systems, pop up cable TV, VCR, fax, fire detection system, minibar, safety box, and the innovative modern oxygen enrichment system in 12 rooms
 
The Royal suites have an area of approximately 85 square meters and include a lobby, a terrace leading to the Patio Pisonay, a comfortable King bed, beautiful bathrooms equipped with Spanish shower, tub, towel heaters, air conditioning, pop up cable TV, DVD, VCR and fax, fire system, minibar, safety box, and oxygen enrichment system.

Their three Presidential suites cover an area of approximately 60 square meters, each Presidential Suite has a lobby, balcony looking out over the Patio Pisonay, a comfortable King bed, luxurious, spacious bathrooms with Spanish shower, tub, towel heaters, air conditioning, pop up cable TV, DVD, VCR and fax, fire system, minibar, safety box, and oxygen enrichment system.
