EL MAPI
Machu Picchu
El Mapi: Our ViewThe El Mapi hotel is one of the newest additions to Aguas Calientes. The original hotel was taken over by the impressive Inkaterra company and they have transformed the hotel into an excellent value for money property. The rooms are not the largest in town but each is clean and comfortable, yet smart and contemporary. The hotel is efficient, playful and people friendly and for the amount of time you will spend in any hotel in Aguas Calientes this is a great option. El Mapi: Fast Facts
El Mapi: The DetailEl Mapi’s design brings together a blend of classic, modern, restored and recycled materials. The influences are smart, informal, fanciful, and snazzy. The feel is of functionality and a lack of pretension. The flowing lobby creates a sense of vitality. Lofty ceilings, panoramic windows and an open cafeteria layout allows natural light suffused through the fence of tall eucalyptus trunks into an ambience, which create a sense of order and wellbeing. Their bar and lounge area is comfortable. The lounge has Plasma TV and complimentary Wi-Fi, whilst the bar features a delectable variety of snacks and “tapas” as well as a wide selection of Pisco’s, and organic wines The hotel has 48 rooms in total, 40 superior rooms and 8 superior deluxe. Each room is equipped with blackout curtains, 100% cotton sheets, down duvets, hypoallergenic pillows, cotton bath robes, natural herbal amenities, 32" flat screen TVs and tight-focus reading lights. The 40 Superior Rooms (20 sq.m./215 sq.ft) each has twin beds or one king bed, whilst the 8 Superior Deluxe Rooms are slightly larger (30 sq.m./322 sq.ft.) and include a small sitting area and complimentary mini bar. Amazon
This lodge is ideal for people who want the authentic Peruvian Amazon experience. The Posada Amazonas is located close to the Madre de Dios River, on the edge of the Tambopata National Park
Nazca
The Las Dunas hotel is generally used as a lunch stop between Lima and the flight over the Nazca lines or a visit to the Ballestas islands. In our opinion though this is worth a night
