The hotel is a sprawling colonial building built around a sunny colonial stone courtyard, peacefully removed from Cusco’s fast pace – like a sophisticated country hotel in the city. Rooms offer superb distant views of Cusco’s tiled rooftops and surrounding mountains or of the handsome arcaded interior courtyard, central fountain, and ample terrace. Tucked away in the heart of the city’s most atmospheric neighbourhood, San Blas, the hotel has 4 wood-burning chimneys, a rustic restaurant and bar, and delightful outside sitting areas.

Casa Andina San Blas: The Detail

The hotel is located in the heart of San Blas, Cusco’s hilliest & artiest neighbourhood, just 1 block from its main square and still only 3 blocks from Cusco’s Plaza de Armas. The Casa Andina san Blas has 38 rooms, which are all charming and have recently been renovated. 
 
They are made of Traditional and Superior rooms and 1 large Suite, each with great views of Cusco and built around an interior stone courtyard. 7 rooms are in the tower, which features cosy open-air lounges overlooking the patio. Rooms have either marble or tiled bathrooms, most with bathtubs; 2 have Jacuzzi tubs.
 
The Tradicional rooms are a little small but are still comfortable in size, with twin beds; featuring writing desks or breakfast tables with 2 chairs, closets with safes, and bathrooms.  The superior rooms are slightly larger in size, with Queen or California King size beds, or 2 Twin beds; featuring writing desks and breakfast tables with 2 chairs, closets with safes, and bathrooms.
 
The one suite is very spacious, with bedrooms featuring California King or 2 Twin beds, a living room with sofa, closets with safes plus a separate living room with minibar; and large bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub. Their cosy little restaurant, which opens onto the central courtyard, is an excellent place to have breakfast.
