Corn Islands

Casa Canada: Our View

Towards the northern side of the island the wind tends to be a little stronger which brings the larger waves allowing for body surfing.  The beaches are wider and are lined with palm trees and off the peninsular the reef thrives.  Casa Canada sits on the northern point with reef to one side and the longest most remote beach on the other.

Casa Canada: The Detail

The hotel, as the name suggests, is owned by a Canadian couple, but managed by Nicaraguans.  The casa is situated on a rocky peninsula and has 22 individual concrete bungalows all of which face the ocean.  The bungalows each have a king size bed (rare for Central America) or two single beds with each containing; en-suite facilities, fridge and mini bar, air conditioning and a small veranda with chairs overlooking the ocean.

Along the front of the casa are a number of palm trees which have hammocks lying between as well as small sitting areas with shade.  The swimming pool is right on the front of the ocean with a small section that has an infinity appearance and is the only hotel on the island with a pool.
