Maroma Resort And Spa: The Detail

All the rooms are superb with white wash walls, large balconies with hammocks, I-Pod docking stations and of course en-suite facilities.  All of the suites have sitting areas, both inside and out with some having their own plunge pools, gym and private massage area.

The beach is probably the best on this stretch of coastline and as such is fantastic for swimming.  The hotel also offers a range of activities from daily snorkelling trips to the reef to full day excursions to Chichen Itza.

The service within the hotel is second to none. Maroma calls it ‘Hand-made hospitality’. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel at home in your surroundings – staff make a point of greeting guests on first name terms together with a wide smile and a delicious Margarita.

There are two restaurants – the relaxed beachfront is the more informal place for dinning, whilst the El Sol restaurant is their signature.  Both are excellent and offer a superb range of local and international cuisine.

There is also an award winning Spa which offers a dazzling array of relaxing treatments which you can also have as a couple, in your luxury open air roof top suite overlooking the ocean.
