Hacienda Temozon: The DetailThere is a lounge/library area with deep armchairs where you can read all about the Mayan world and the numerous key sites in the area such as Chichzen Itza and Uxmal. The restaurant is in the open air veranda overlooking the central courtyard and the pool and offers an exquisite menu of local and international cuisine. There is a small but lovely spa where you can enjoy local Mayan treatments – all the natural ingredients used are produced within the Hacienda grounds. The rooms have high ceilings, are beautifully proportioned with handcrafted local floor tiles and are painted in soft hues of cream and blue. There are traditional iron beds and French checked soft chairs. Some rooms have a plunge pool and a small terrace. This is a wonderful base for both exploring the Mayan world and for quiet relaxation. It is 45 minutes from Merida and 20 minutes from Uxmal. You may also likeChichen Itza
