ENCHANTING ECUADOR

Day 1: Fly to Quito
Arrive Quito, transfer to Mansion Angel hotel

Day 2: In Quito
After a relaxing morning you will be taken on a short city tour of the colonial quarter of Quito, taking in its beautiful plaza's and colourful markets.

Day 3-10: Galapagos Islands on the Isabella II
The most luxurious of the Galapagos boats. Remodelled for the new millennium, she has 20 spacious cabins, each with private en-suite facilities. There are three public decks: the bar-salon, dinning room and sun deck. The sun deck is complete with a spacious bar, outside seating, an observation area for dolphin and whale watching, a Jacuzzi and a solarium. She also has a well-stocked library and reading room. Isabela II is fully air-conditioned, with a crew of 24 and on board naturalists. As of 2004 she will operate 8 day / 7 night cruises only.

Wednesday AM: Hood Island. PM: Punta Suarez
Thursday AM: Floreana Island. PM: Post Office Bay
Friday AM: Santa Cruz Island and nearby islets
Saturday AM: Darwin Bay. PM: Tower Island
Sunday AM: Fernandina Island. PM: Isabela Island
Monday AM: James Island. PM: Bartolome Island
Tuesday AM: Baltra, fly mainland

Day 11: Drive/train to Cotapaxi National Park
Leaving the capital behind, you descend into the 'avenue of volcanoes', a line of majestic peaks surround you en-route to the Cotapaxi national Park. On arrival you have the opportunity to make some small hikes through this diverse ecosystem and the possibility of spotting deer, condors and llamas. You arrive at your accommodation late afternoon. The luxurious hacienda San Agustin is a superb place to relax, with open fires in both your bedroom and bathroom.

Day 12: Visit Saquisili market
After a leisurely breakfast you have a short drive to Saquisili, the largest and most important indigenous market in Ecuador. There are 8 separate plazas' here, each selling a different product. You return to your hacienda for lunch where the afternoon is free to explore the area by foot or alternatively take a ride on horseback.

Day 13: Drive Quito. Fly U.K

The cost of the tour outlined above is approximately £3,655 per person based on 2 people sharing and includes all activities on a priavte basis, transfers, accommodation, meals where mentioned and internal flights.
