LAGUNA BEACH RESORT
The Bay Islands
Laguna Beach Resort: Our ViewOnce the best lodge on the island, this lodge has unfortunately been allowed to become a little dated. Its location between the sea and the Lagoon is perfect, giving you sunrise on one side and sunset on the other. The peninsula that it sits on, offers white sands and bent palm trees making it an ideal destination to relax in. The peninsula is only accessible by boat, which means it is remote and quiet and away from the hustle and bustle that is Utila Town. Laguna Beach Resort: Fast Facts
Laguna Beach Resort: The DetailThe entire lodge is built from local wood which gives it that rustic yet charming quality; however, the entire structure is in need of renovation. The communal bar area and dining room are nice but it seems to offer that group experience rather than that individual one which its location intimates and it still appears that nothing has been done to the bar or dining area since it opened. The 13 rooms, all of which are individual cabanas overlook either the lagoon or sea and from the outside look idyllic. Inside however they are missing furnishings and some kind of décor, which leaves them with a lack of character. Each has en-suite facilities and private balconies over the waters edge. The colonial building has been kept in immaculate condition. The interior décor is in keeping with the past, which complements the hotel and the rooms. The rooms do not have, nor need a lot of décor as the atmosphere is perfect
