ANTHONYS KEY
The Bay Islands
Anthonys Key: Our ViewAnthony’s Key is one of the oldest hotels on the island, having been open since 1972. The Key is a small island where all their accommodation is located, whilst the remainder of the hotel is on the mainland – a short 1 minute boat ride across the split – which includes the restaurant, bar and dolphin centre. Anthonys Key: Fast Facts
Anthonys Key: The DetailThe resort is best known for its diving facilities, which are extensive and include some 10 dive boats along with numerous smaller boats for snorkelling trips. The Dolphins are also a big attraction, not only for guests staying here but also people from all over the island. The dolphins perform a small show, but the highlight is where they bring the dolphins into the open water to allow you to both dive and swim with them – a truly memorable experience. The 49 rooms – 10 of which are on the mainland and the remainder on the Key – are all made of local wood, have en-suite facilities and either shared or private balconies. Some of the newer rooms have air conditioning and this is where the price difference between the rooms lies. All the rooms have a sea view, though some of them are standing on stilts in the water, giving them a beautiful Caribbean feel to them. The interior décor is simple and understated whilst the beds are either small doubles, queens or occasionally king size. Each of the balconies has sitting areas and hammocks and the wooden cabanas are in a circle around the islands beach. In the centre of the island is a large swimming pool with a bar, which also serves snacks throughout the day. This is a good option whether you are a diver or not as the place has a very relaxed feel to it and the staff are friendly. You may also likePico Bonito
