Palacio De Dona Leonor: The DetailEach of the hotels 9 rooms are located around a central courtyard, covering 2 floors. The three room types; Luxury, luxury double and the suites are each enormous. All have their own fireplace, high ceilings and lavish décor. The gardens in the centre of the courtyard have a small water feature and the new pool/Jacuzzi located in the private gardens in the back is a fantastic place to relax at the end of the day. Unquestionably the best lodge option in the region. Situated a 30 minute drive outside of the town, the lodge has access to all the main attractions in the area, yet is pleasingly far enough away from it all to feel like you are in the middle of the jungle.
Lake Atitlan
This is undoubtedly the best option around Lake Atitlan. With its pastel coloured walls and colonial décor it fits in beautifully with its surroundings. The hotel as a whole is littered with Mayan carvings and some colourful textiles
Tikal
This is one of three Francis Ford Coppala properties, of which La Lancha was the first. Situated on the northern side of the lake and nestled within the surrounding jungle, this is undoubtedly the best option in the area
