Meson De Maria: The DetailMeson de Maria is ideally located just off the main plaza in Antigua. The 20 rooms located over two floors are all spacious and clean and comfortable. The deluxe rooms have larger bathrooms with a skylight, which is the only difference between them. Each has en-suite facilities and a small fireplace which adds to the romanticism of the place. On the other side of the town of Santiago is posada Santiago. The hotel is split between the road, with the rooms and restaurant on one side and the pool and gardens on the other, the latter of which overlooks the lake.
Tikal
Situated inside the Tikal national park, this is the most convenient option for exploring the ancient Mayan city of Tikal - it is just twenty minutes walk from the centre of the ruins. This means that you can spend the whole day enjoying Tikal
The Cayo District
Located on the hill above the town of San Ignacio this is a very good budget option. You are close enough to the town to sample the local cuisine and the hotel is located next door to the Mayan ruins of Cahal Pech
