Jungle Lodge: The DetailThe lodge consists of individual cabins which are simply decorated and although the facilities are basic although they do provide mosquito nets and a small sitting area by the side of your room. There are 52 rooms and they are split into bungalows with 4 rooms per block. The swimming pool however is superb as this is a hot and humid area all year round and it is a great way to freshen up in between visits during the day or at the end of the day. The food on offer is not of a high quality, but nowhere is exceptional in the area of Tikal! It is located in the jungle and your early morning wake up call is that of the howler monkeys which reside close to the hotel! You may also likeThe Cayes

On the other side of the town of Santiago is posada Santiago. The hotel is split between the road, with the rooms and restaurant on one side and the pool and gardens on the other, the latter of which overlooks the lake.
