Galapagos Cruises - boats and itinerariesWe have a selection of boats on offer, each with varying characteristics and itineraries. They all come with on-board naturalist experts and are full board. Please be aware that cabins fill quickly, especially on some of the smaller yachts where there are fewer cabins. Prices also vary depending on the time of year, the type of yacht and cabin. A classic Galapagos trip lasts 7nights/8days though it is also possible to spend 3nights/4days. Below is a list of our preferred boats, their itineraries and seasonal price differences. M/V SANTA CRUZThe only ship built exclusively for the Galapagos Islands, M/V Santa Cruz is a luxury vessel, fully air-conditioned and offers superb on-board services, including expert naturalist guides and excellent food. Completely renovated in 1998, she has 46 diverse cabins which include: two master suites with private balcony, two junior suites, four superior class cabins along with the remaining standard cabins on the upper and main decks. The sun deck features a bar and Jacuzzi, along with a comfortable observation platform for dolphin and whale watching. The dining room and lounge bar is elegantly appointed, as is the well-stocked library/reading room. Naturalists deliver lectures and briefings throughout the expedition, to enable you to better understand the islands' history, geology, flora and fauna. Monday AM: Baltra, fly mainland YACHT ISABELA IIThe most luxurious of the Galapagos yachts. Remodelled for the new millennium, she has 20 spacious cabins, each with private en-suite facilities. There are three public decks: the bar-salon, dining room and sun deck. The sun deck is complete with a spacious bar, outside seating, an observation area for dolphin and whale watching, a Jacuzzi and a solarium. She also has a well-stocked library and reading room. Tuesday AM: Baltra, fly mainland YACHT ALTAAlta is one of the most beautiful yachts in the Galapagos; ideal for travellers who seek exclusivity and uniqueness. She is a three-masted staysail schooner, a stylish yacht that has the charm of a sailing ship. She is 46 m / 140 ft long and capable of 10 knots under power and 14 knots under sail.Alta is fitted with 8 tastefully decorated cabins that accommodate up to 16 passengers. All cabins have ample space with private facilities and freshwater hot and cold showers. At mealtimes there are two alternatives: in the dining salon, which seats sixteen on four tables, or "al fresco", on the foredeck. The gourmet galley is equipped to prepare the finest dishes. Alta offers many spots for relaxing or sunning yourself, including a sundeck with lounge chairs, just forward of the bridge, and another with cushions on the bow of the yacht. When the conditions are appropriate, the sails will be hoisted. A seasoned captain, 8 dedicated crew members and 2 experienced naturalist guides attend to the details of your Galapagos cruise. Each naturalist takes a group of no more than 10 passengers on all shore excursions and shares extensive insights into the Islands' diverse wildlife. Outfitted in 1990, the three 20-passenger first class motor-yachts are 83' long and are exclusively custom-designed for Galapagos excursions. All have polished teak wood interiors with; fully air-conditioned cabins, dining room, bar and conference area.
