Hacienda Pinsaqui: The DetailHacienda Pinsaqui is a family-owned hacienda which was originally built in 1790 as a textile workshop employing up to 1000 local spinners and weavers. Today it has retained all of its character and traditions. Hacienda Pinsaqui is a beautiful hacienda with bougainvillea’s draped over white walls, small courtyards with water fountains and a rich sense of history. The restaurant is definitely an attraction, offering a mix of traditional Ecuadorian dishes and international cuisine, so much so that lunchtime here can be a busy time. The hacienda also has an extensive network of trails to walk as well as horses to ride. The hacienda has 20 rooms each with their own fireplace. Every room is unique and has a character all of its own. Within the rooms you will find sheepskin rugs, heavy blankets and pieces of traditional art. Most rooms have a view overlooking the lovely gardens behind the hacienda. Some rooms have a Jacuzzi.
