Hacienda Abraspungo: The Detail

Hacienda Abraspungo, surrounded by the Ecuadorian Andes and at an altitude of 2,754 metres, is a fine place to break up your journey for a night between Quito and Cuenca. Abraspungo is an old hacienda which combines this old world with a mixture of traditional colonial.

The Hacienda is adorned with old photographs and illustrations of Andean landscapes and times past which give it a unique character. The antiques on display in the living room and dining room give it a colonial flavour as well as a feel for the pre-Colombian cultures of the region.

Hacienda Abraspungo has 42 comfortable rooms which are spread throughout the hacienda.  As they have changed very little of the original architecture rooms vary in size and location.

Each room takes its name from one of the mountains of Ecuador and that mountain is shown in the photographs displayed within the room and each is furnished with lovely wooden furniture and has views to the magnificent gardens that surround the hacienda.
