Grano De Oro: The DetailThere are 3 suites and 37 rooms – all of which have the key amenities such as cable TV, mini bar and fans. All rooms are individually designed and have their own unique features with original art. Some have private terraces. For relaxing there is a stunning roof top sun deck with loungers and Jacuzzi’s. The restaurant is lavishly appointed and you can choose to dine either outside or in. The bar and dining room has plush booth’s and a very romantic setting at night, making great use of rich hard woods, titian reds and gold. The Victorian style central courtyard is filled with tropical plants and a wonderful place for a sun drenched breakfast. The location is central but on a quiet street, away from the bustle of the main shopping district. The busy and colourful town of Tamarindo is just a 15 minute drive away but Cala Luna feels like another world. Designed with a Mediterranean flavour using the colours of coral, salmon pink and creams the hotel has achieved an understated yet stylish feel
Monteverde
Fonda Vela began in 1990 with just 8 cabanas. The lodge was started by the family that still runs it today and as such it has a lovely warm and welcoming feel to it. The 40 rooms are spread through the mountain side
Tortuguero
Built in 2006, this one of the newer properties that has emerged over the past decade. The lodge is part of the Pachira group which owns three hotels in the area and the Aninga lodge is actually attached to the Pachira lodge, so guests can use both lodges if they wish
