EL ESTABLO
Monteverde
El Establo: Our ViewEl Establo is set within a 60 hectare reserve with a range of activities. The hotel itself only covers 3 hectares of this with the reminder containing walking trails and an extensive 16 platform zip wire which runs on top of the cloud forests canopy. Despite the large size of the hotel, the attention to detail by the staff is excellent and they have some of the best rooms to be found anywhere in the reserve. El Establo: Fast Facts
El Establo: The DetailThe hotel itself is large with 155 rooms, split into 7 blocks. Each block contains a different room category; deluxe, suite and honeymoon suites. The room styles are all identical though they vary in size and bathroom design. The deluxe rooms have private balconies – all rooms have a view over the cloud forest as the hotel is situated across a large hill – en-suite facilities with Jacuzzis and 2 queen beds. The suites are larger have a king size bed in and some have a mezzanine with another king bed in and a single bed to one side. Each has lots of natural light due to the large glass windows. Bathrooms are more spacious than the deluxe rooms. The honeymoon suites are the same as the suites but do not have the mezzanine and come with either an open plan bathroom or a closed bathroom. El Establo has two restaurants serving some of the best food in Monteverde and the spa which is of course within its own building is as comprehensive as it comes. You may also likeNicoya Peninsula
The Four Seasons hotel has created a name for itself globally as a quality hotel and their hotel on the Papagayo peninsula is no exception. Although larger than a lot of the hotels we offer – this hotel has 144 rooms- we would really only recommend the one and two bedroom suites
San Jose
This is a grand and sumptuous hotel filled with fabulous antiques and art, which takes you back to another era – early 20thcentury San Jose. Old black and white photographs line the corridors and are a fascinating illustration of what life in Costa Rica used to be
Tortuguero
The Manatus has created a lodge totally different to any other within the Tortuguero National Park. They are a small hotel for starters, with only 12 rooms, the rooms are all built of brick, whereas most others are built of local wood
