THINGS TO SEE AND DO
Arenal Volcano National Park. Relaxing in the Tabacon hot springs in the evening with a drink in your hand as you watch the natural firework display is a unique and highly recommended experience. The area surrounding the volcano is a thick jungle with trails and good scope for walking and nature spotting.
White water rafting on the Sarapiqui river. Costa Rica has a big reputation for great rafting and this is one of the main rivers for enjoying a professionally guided excursion. There are grades of river to suit all levels of experience from class III for beginners to Class V for the more experienced. La Fortuna Waterfall. A beautiful series of tropical waterfalls cascading down an escarpment covered in tropical forest. The tallest waterfall is over 70metres with numerous pools in which to swim. It can be reached by foot, horseback or vehicle depending on your interests.
