VIK Wine Lodge: The DetailThe Norwegian owners are aiming towards creating an environment in which human and nature combine strengths in order to create a high quality wine, increasing its value over the years. The lodge is located on the top of the hill giving you stunning 360 degree views. They only have 4 rooms here, each of which is spacious and with sweeping views over the valley. The rooms are all fairly modern and minimal, but seem to suit the lodge. They have their own winery & cellars which you will be taken around, along with sampling some of the wines produced in the area. The communal areas are open and spacious with large galss windows throughout. There is so much to see and do around here and activities include wine tasting, horse riding and trekking the surrounding valley. Sustainability is a term that fits VIK perfectly, expressed through their working processes like recycling of water and replanting of trees. VIK Holistic vineyard is known for its superb blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Franc; the blends are different every year depending on the harvests.
