Lake Titicaca
Catamaran: Our ViewTraversing Lake Titicaca by catamaran is one of the best ways to see the lake and the surrounding Andes. Being able to visit the small islands of Isla del Sol and Isla de la Luna and be in the middle of the lake at night is a superb experience. There are various boat sizes which are used for the overnight stay, depending on demand, but each cabin has en-suite facilities Catamaran: Fast Facts
Catamaran: The DetailThe Catamaran trip is best done as a 2 day one night voyage and starts in either Puno (Peru) or La Paz (Bolivia) ends at the other, or vice versa. Beginning with a coach trip to the edge of the lake you board the catamaran and visit one of the islands followed by dinner on the boat and a visit of the other island the next day before transferring by coach to Puno or La Paz at the end. The cabins are clean and comfortable with en-suite facilities and hot water and have twin beds in. None of the cabins are particularly large, but you will spend little time in them anyway. There is plenty of outside deck space for viewing and lunch is often taken al fresco if the weather is good. Below is a detailed description of the 2 day one night cruise on the catamaran. Please note that the below cruise can run in either direction
