KAANA
The Cayo District
Kaana: Our ViewKa’ana is the new hotel on the block in the Cayo district and the only boutique hotel in the area. The hotel was taken over in 2007 and since then has had a complete makeover, not only with the rooms but also their food and service. Kaana: Fast Facts
Kaana: The DetailThe hotel is small and intimate with only 15 rooms; 5 Balam rooms and 10 casitas. The 10 casitas consist of 5 blocks with 2 casitas per block and are the better rooms. They are larger than the Balam and have balconies on the front and rear with sitting areas on both and a hammock on the front. The rooms come with all mod-cons; air-conditioning, ceiling fans, mini bar, cable television, WIFI and telephones. The bathrooms are spacious with his and her sinks and a large shower area. The Balam rooms have all the same amenities, except they only have a front balcony and the rooms are slightly smaller. The hotel is run extremely well and all the small details are in place, such as liquor tasting in the wine cellar on your first night giving you the chance to meet the management and talk through your options during your stay. The hotel offers every conceivable activity in the area from private bike rides to the more popular caving trips, all of which can be done on a private basis. The restaurant serves outstanding food and testament to that is the fact that it is frequented by people that both live and are visiting the area. You may also likeChan Chich
