Costa Maya Reef: The DetailThe hotel is surrounded by white sand and well laid out. This is a rare place where tranquillity meets adventure. The villas have been designed with a romantic island flare and are situated right on the edge of the water. At the centre of the hotel is the large swimming pool which overlooks the ocean. There are 29 rooms at Costa Maya Reef Resort. Each has a balcony with a partial ocean views. Inside they are open and spacious and include a small kitchen with stovetops, microwaves, refrigerators, and coffee/tea makers. En-suite bathrooms are tiled with showers. Despite its remote location there is WIFI, televisions have satellite channels as well as DVD players. The rooms are all air-conditioned and also include CD players, a separate sitting area and dining area as well as sofas. The hotel has everything you need and includes its own dive centre where you can learn to dive with a PADI course or become an assistant instructor. They also offer all the usual snorkelling trips to the nearby reef. They also provide complimentary use of kayaks and bicycles to explore the surrounding waters and the island. Located on the hill above the town of San Ignacio this is a very good budget option. You are close enough to the town to sample the local cuisine and the hotel is located next door to the Mayan ruins of Cahal Pech

Mountain Pine Ridge
The simplest of the three lodges set inside the park, but perhaps the one with the best views. The lodge is set across the edge of a steep hill with the river below being clearly visible throughout the property
