Run by the efficient Barbara, where everything appears seamless and her attention to guests is superb. Caye Caulker Condos: The DetailThe hotel has a swimming pool and a superb rooftop terrace with hammocks and chairs and a 360 degree view of the island. Each of the rooms has en-suite facilities, air conditioning, ceiling fans, fridge, microwave, WIFI, small kitchen and private balconies. Located on the hill above the town of San Ignacio this is a very good budget option. You are close enough to the town to sample the local cuisine and the hotel is located next door to the Mayan ruins of Cahal Pech

This is one of a number of larger properties along this stretch of coast, although due to the layout of the hotel and the close proximity to the water’s edge it seems to have avoided that tag of being a large hotel. Roberts Inn has three swimming pools

The simplest of the three lodges set inside the park, but perhaps the one with the best views. The lodge is set across the edge of a steep hill with the river below being clearly visible throughout the property
