Mendoza
Mendoza lies in the foothills of the Andes and its gentle slopes are covered in vineyards. This is where some of Argentina’s best wines are produced and although the town, with its 5 plazas is worth a short visit it is staying in one of the surrounding vineyards that allows for a taste of the real country.
From most places your views consist of snow capped Andean peaks with vineyards below making it a photographer’s paradise. The area also has plenty to offer and a 3 or 4 night stay is recommended to allow you to perhaps take a bike ride to the numerous wineries where Malbec is the prominent grape.

Wine tasting. The area is teaming with vineyards and you can easily spend several days visiting numerous different vineyards Horse Riding. Mendoza sits at the base of the Andes range and we would recommend a full day riding through the foothills of these majestic peaks Trekking. The area has a numerous trails offering low lying footpaths to trails which climb high into the Andes range White water rafting. This can be done all year round and the region has various levels from class III to class V rapids.
